Junction Lane 1960s

This picture of Junction Lane, Ossett probably dates back to the late 1950s or early 1960s. I think the lady walking down Junction Lane is about to enter the old Co-op store (now Kerr's Angling Centre), which was just beyond the railings on the right. Opposite the shop is what is now the South Ossett Baptist Church.

The Prince of Wales public house would be left and behind where the photographer was standing when he took this picture. There has been quite a lot of change in Junction Lane in the intervening years with bungalows built in place of the buildings on the right of the picture.
