My thanks to Neville Ashby for a scan of this rare picture, which shows the Gawthorpe Bethesda cricket team,winners of the Ossett and District Cricket League in 1915. The captain with the cup in front of him is William Broadhead, who it is believed was from a family of Gawthorpe farmers and cattle dealers.
